Have you ever imagined such beautiful weather in winter? Last weekend I had a short trip to Ivinghoe, Buckinghamshire which was my first time here at the Pitstone Windmill. This is one of the oldest surviving mills in Britain dating from 1627. A freak storm left it badly damaged in the early 1900s. It was later donated to the National Trust and restored by a team of local volunteers. I hope you like the view, the weather really was amazing! Let the pictures talk.

The weather is getting a bit chilly outside but I couldn’t resist…grabbed my tripod and headed to the city. Long exposure images are definitely out of my comfort zone, there are still so many things (and places) to discover…till then enjoy a few photos of the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament with Big Ben. And don’t forget to check London Eye from a different angle and some other favorite images taken in London.

The next image was taken at the coast of the river Thames. I’m totally amazed by the pattern of the street lamps all along the river in the city center.

Hey All,

happy autumn to everybody! Yesterday the weather was so warm and bright that I couldn’t resist and took a walk in the nearest park. I have never thought that this park was so huge. Really. Enormous!!

Several tennis courts, cricket, football, volleyball, and I could make a long long list what else you can do when you go there, either alone or with your family. In Hungary the parks are much smaller and they are not as clean as as we have here in London, too much litter and the walls and benches are full of graffiti… The other reason why I came out other than sniffing some fresh air was to take some pretty nice autumn shots, you know those colorful ones. I’m afraid I have to wait one or two weeks as long as all the trees burst into yellow and red leaves. I was a bit disappointed that I almost walked back home. But then I realized that this beautiful park was full of cute little squirrels that were happy to play with you if you had some nuts. Hehe they know how to celebrate life! I met some fellow visitors who thought I was a pro photographer (hahhh) and gave me some nuts to feed them. And then the game started. What would you do for a piece of nut? Or something that you really really want. Lol. He was so so cute trying to reach our hands.

The story: pic nr. 1 he smells the nut, slowly comes down the tree. pic nr. 2 he feels tempted but why are you playing with me, you think I’m stupid? (hahhha)

pic nr. 3 I got it, I got it!! pic nr. 4 you’ll never catch me, it’s already mine!

How long do you think you can keep something after feeling so tempted and finally receiving it? Would you let it go…?

Enjoy the autumn sunlight! Have a lovely day!

Life is never logical. There’s no way at all you can predict what’s gonna happen. BUT: There are a lot of better ways to live your life than let your mind control every single step you take. Just think about all those things you’ve always wanted to do, but never did, because you thought they were silly little things. Have you realized how this approach is slowly sucking the enjoyment out of your precious life?

It doesn’t matter if you’re learning to paint, or to play the piano or simply sitting and talking to somebody. There are always lessons to be learned.

In the last few years of immersing myself in photography I’ve become more patient and begun to focus on having fun instead of working myself to death. I looked at everything as a means to an end. I was always trying to reach my latest goal. As time passed, I’ve figured out that enjoying the current moment is much more important than reaching any of my goals. If I’m not enjoying what I’m doing, then why keep going on? There is however a big obstacle to all this and it will hold you back if you let it, and it’s: What you feel like doing won’t always make logical sense.

The truth is that you can never know if your short dabbling in learning something new will lead to something else. Maybe one day you’ll meet someone who knows someone and things will start rolling from there. I’ve learnt to listen to my heart and trust the process even if it sometimes doesn’t make sense. What if you ask someone for some advice on what you should do with your life. You always get the same answer: follow your heart.

We’ve been taught to look for confirmation, but when you realize that all you have to do is to listen to that beating thing in your chest, everything becomes much more fun and easier. You start looking forward to what’s going to happen next day. I have no idea at all what I’ll be doing in half a year. Day by day I become more and more excited to see what I’ll come up with, where I’ll end up and what I’ll be doing.

My heart was telling me to play around with photography, but my mind was full of fear. “It cannot be done! You can’t do it!” my mind said to me. In early 2009, I finally let go. I started taking photography more seriously and now I do what I felt like I wanted to do. I just love what I do.

Yesterday I had a freakin’ good night out in the City. And there will be a festival going on forever in my heart.

This is what life’s about. FREEDOM. It’s all about doing what you truly feel like doing, even if it doesn’t make any sense at all. Life is about being a child and doing whatever you want. Have you ever wanted to learn something new, but never felt like you could do it?

There’s always a reason why you feel drawn to do the things you want to do. If you don’t start following your heart today, when will you?

Take a minute to appreciate all the things that bring enjoyment and happiness to your life. Start following your intuitions and start playing.

Love and best wishes,

Lolo

Wine is bottled poetry.

~ Robert Louis Stevenson

Do you like wine? I don’t. LOL Never mind. I had a fantastic Sunday in my cousin’s winery. Some friends and the family gathered together early in the morning and decided to visit one of the biggest winery of the country. At first I didn’t want to go, I don’t drink wine at all. However it was a great opportunity to play with my cam. The rest of the people ate and drank so much, tasted all kind of wine.

I disappeared among the bottles, nobody missed me.

These are my favourite shots. The rest was not very nice. From photographic point of view they really are good, but the theme is horrible. The whole cellarage (hmm I’m not sure if this is the correct word in English – this is the place where the tons of barrels are held under the ground) was full of mould. It didn’t look very nice to be uploaded here. I like how these bottles shape these parallel patterns.

Have a nice week!

This is also a weekend shot. My parents visited my lil bro and me, and we spent the whole afternoon in the Castle. You can find here the famous Fisherman’s Bastion that is located in the heart of Budapest. You can see the whole city from up here. It is amazing.

This is an older photo from my collection and I simply love it. I clearly remember the day when I grabbed my friend and my new tripod, and we drove crazily to the downtown to take some night shots at the bank of the Danube. The lights really are amazing. This is my town, that’s why I love it so much!
