Are you ready for spring? I took a short photowalk in the neighbourhood to look around and get to know my new city better. Here is a little collection for those who are still suffering from heavy snow storms in the Northern parts of Europe and the US. Don’t worry, there are only a few more days to sleep till spring goes to your end, too. Enjoy the series, I missed snow here in London though.

Magnolias are one of my favorite flowers. I thought they are very rare in Hungary, but when I showed the flowers to my Mom, she said we had it at home too. Flowers can be really tricky sometimes, they can have totally different names in Hungarian, and I’m not an expert in them either. There’s only one thing that counts: their beauty makes our souls blossom, our days shine and our hearts brighten!!

I just love bokeh and fences, and when I can mix the two…hmm it’s almost like heaven.

A new day has come…or well..will come next Saturday! After so much time spent with hunting for a new, lovely, warm and cozy home, finally today we have found the one that will be the best for homecoming. As some of you may know we moved to London not so long ago leaving our – well it would sound funny but really – luxurious life behind in Hungary, just to set up a new life and make a dream come true. A dream that I have been dreaming about for more than a year now. After packing all my stuff into a luggage, driving miles across beautiful countries in Europe, living here and there – at friends or with strangers – I think I can tell you now that we finally arrived. We just landed in a new world with full of opportunities, with a big basket of love, joy and happiness. You might be wondering what I’m talking about. Some people say that home is where the heart is. And I definitely agree with this! However when you’re forced to move in and out from one house to another, you don’t or rather can’t really feel that it’s really a warm cozy home that you live in. On one hand I tend to be a bit sensitive. My home should really be the place where I’m happy to go home after work, where I’m happy to invite my beloved family & friends, or where I’m just by myself sitting at the fireplace and reading my favourite book. And finally we have found THE HOME! Now I can go back studying photography again – with full of new energy!

We’ll move in next weekend, this photo was taken in the garden of the house where we currently live. To all my lovely friends: wherever you are, whatever the weather is, don’t forget to share some love with the people you love!

Hey y’all!

True, right? Happiness doesn’t depend on luxury though. All you need is a pure luxury of positive thoughts. Alright guys I wouldn’t like to tell you big words lol, it’s just worth considering how big power it has. It can change and improve your life in a way you have never thought of. As for me, setting up a new life in a whole new country is not easy. I was full of negative thoughts that definitely killed my creativity. And it’s not good in this photography thingy. The best cure for this is to recognize these thoughts, and put a stop to these very quickly if you feel your mood darkening again. What about hanging out with people who think positive as well? Good gooood.

Keep up de-stressing. Getting started is easy, it’s rather the maintenance that’s tricky. Rule your emotions and not vice versa. Let yourself surrounded only with the things you love and that make you feel good like framed family photos, your favourite books, potted plants or whatever else that’s meaningful to you. If people keep telling you you can’t do something, take it as a challenge and prove them wrong. The other day I found a nice quote you might like:

“I do it because I can. I can because I want to. I want to because you said I couldn’t.“

I hope this will give you a lot of positive energy in the future. We women tend to think too much about unnecessary things lol. Do you have any other tips for kicking out the negative thoughts?

Do you know what the best is in being an artist? I have a complete freedom and control on everything. As if I were a child, I can do what I want. It’s all about the power of my creativity, I just have to step over its border and enjoy freedom. It doesn’t matter if I get dirty and messy all around ‘cos I like what I’m doing. Some people might think that we artists are like some special human beings that are impossible to understand. We are the same people. When a new day comes, we wake up in the morning and go to bed at night. It’s just in between that we do differently.

I happened to have a look at a friend’s gallery yesterday. He is a painter. I was amazed and couldn’t tell a word when he invited to his house. The whole atmosphere was so warm and the paintings whispered something like that the guy living here is a real artist. You might ask where inspiration comes from. It’s all around us – in our life, in our cozy home, people out in the street, a good book…we just have to open up our eyes to find what makes us happy.

Dare to dream. Think in big. And step over those boundaries that you might have in your life. It doesn’t matter if you’re an artist or not. Everybody is special in his own way. They are just the dreams and the willingness that make you continue your path. You’re at your very best and you’re the happiest when you’re fully engaged in the work you enjoy on the journey toward the goal you’ve established for yourself. It gives meaning to your time off and comfort to your sleep. It makes everything else in life so wonderful, so worthwhile.

Let me send your way some autumn sunshine. The weather is gorgeous here, a bit cold though. Autumn has really really arrived. But I like this season, too, with all its beauty and coldness. I’ll put on some warm clothes, grab my cam and hurry outside to sniff some fresh air. I pretty much like the weather after rain, it’s like when nature awakens again and again. And here in London we have quite much rain, especially from now on till the end of spring. But these are not so heavy ones, no need to open your umbrella lol. Anyway today the sun is shining so brightly, so let’s forget rain for now. And yeah, it’s already Friday!! Have a lovely weekend filled with sunshine and happiness!

Hey All,

happy autumn to everybody! Yesterday the weather was so warm and bright that I couldn’t resist and took a walk in the nearest park. I have never thought that this park was so huge. Really. Enormous!!

Several tennis courts, cricket, football, volleyball, and I could make a long long list what else you can do when you go there, either alone or with your family. In Hungary the parks are much smaller and they are not as clean as as we have here in London, too much litter and the walls and benches are full of graffiti… The other reason why I came out other than sniffing some fresh air was to take some pretty nice autumn shots, you know those colorful ones. I’m afraid I have to wait one or two weeks as long as all the trees burst into yellow and red leaves. I was a bit disappointed that I almost walked back home. But then I realized that this beautiful park was full of cute little squirrels that were happy to play with you if you had some nuts. Hehe they know how to celebrate life! I met some fellow visitors who thought I was a pro photographer (hahhh) and gave me some nuts to feed them. And then the game started. What would you do for a piece of nut? Or something that you really really want. Lol. He was so so cute trying to reach our hands.

The story: pic nr. 1 he smells the nut, slowly comes down the tree. pic nr. 2 he feels tempted but why are you playing with me, you think I’m stupid? (hahhha)

To think or not to think? This is the question (or a never ending debate between men and women lol) on Facebook today. So now I’m starting a new project on FlickR, revealing my thoughts about life. Its title is ‘How I feel today’. My dear friend, Atish, told me I was always thinking too much – about nothing. I answered him it was rather caring – about my life, about everything. On the other hand I should stop thinking ‘cos it might kill my creativity. If I keep thinking about what I want to do or what I hope will happen, I won’t do it, and it won’t happen. So I stop thinking to start living. HOWEVER, there are seconds when I can’t stop the computer of my brain and I really need to capture these thoughts. Thinking is a kinda mental tool (or a crazy female habit…lol) that is ideally used to analyze our options objectively. Sharing my thoughts with you might help me stop cycling through them in my head…or not. Anyway enjoy the new series of photos of my crazy (or creative?) mind. Only on my flickr page.

I’m now listening to one of my favourite songs, Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. First I heard it in the Shrek movie, then I watched the X-Factor finalist, Alexandra Burke. She was absolutely gorgeous with her wonderful voice! I’ve just read an article about this song, it was then placed No. 1. in the UK Christmas singles chart. Hhmm… Christmas… I think I’m looking forward to it… a bit. Not because of the weather, it’s REALLY REALLY nice now, sunny, warm, the sky is almost clear. Love this song!
